WHERE ARE YOUR HELIPADS LOCATED AND HOW DO I GET THERE FOR MY FLIGHT?
Our Head Office Helipad is located on Jl. By-Pass, Pesanggaran, close to the Benoa traffic lights. Flights can also be taken from our authorized Helipads at the Ubud Adventure Center at Kedewatan (our Rafting Finishing Point), or Payangan (our Rafting Start Point), or at our Elephant Safari Park in Taro. All our set Sky tours include VIP bus hotel transfers with our own company buses. However if you request a pick up from a specific location then a mobilization cost will be added and it will also depend if there is a certified Heli landing area nearby to your pick up point.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD? DO WE GET A REFUND?
The weather is out of our control, but if we think the weather is too bad to fly we will either give a full refund or the passenger can choose a different time or day for the flight. If bad weather occurs during the flight the aircraft may be diverted to an alternative route. Most of the time we are blessed with beautiful weather in Bali. If we happen to have a rainy weather pattern the pilot will consult weather reports and other pilots who have been flying to determine if we can operate a good tour. Bali Adventure Sky Tours does not want to take our guests on a flight unless we are certain we can give you an excellent experience

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO FLY?
We recommendthat you book your helicopter flight prior to your arrival in Bali. It is advisable to book your Sky tour for the early part of your stay. That way if your pilot determines that weather conditions on your planned Sky tour day are not suitable for a tour, you will have some options for re-scheduling. As far as the best time of day for a helicopter tour, as far as a volcano tour is concerned, the sky in the mountain area is the clearest during the early morning period. Other tours can be any time of the day.

IS THERE A DISCOUNT FOR CHILDREN? CAN I TAKE AN INFANT?
Indonesian Aviation Regulations require any child over the age of 2 years to have their own allocated seat, therefore no discount can be offered. An infant under the age of 2 years can fly free with a paying guardian utilizing an infant seat belt, sitting on the parent’s lap.

WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT?
There are no age limits, but passengers under 24 months must ride on the lap of an adult passenger.

Some flights may require a minimum number of passengers, however if you have chartered the flight then you may fly alone.

ARE YOU REQUIRED TO FLY EVERYONE?
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone based on our observance of any peculiar behaviors or attitude. Our first priority is safety for our passengers and our pilots.

WHAT ARE YOUR FLIGHT HOURS OF OPERATION
Indonesian Aviation Regulations state our first flight can be as early as Sunrise if requested and our last flight must be 30 minutes before Sunset. So approximately 7 am to 6 pm.

WILL WE BE THE ONLY ONES IN THE HELICOPTER? HOW IS SEATING ARRANGED?
Unless you charter the complete Helicopter you will be sharing the flight with other guests. We try to seat couples and families side-by-side as much as possible. However we cannot guarantee a particular seat as it is often dictated by our Indonesian Aviation approved ‘weight and balance’ program. In our Eurocopter B2 all seats are forward facing, so visibility from every seat is excellent since there are no cabin partitions that would block part of the view as is the case on other types of helicopters. We will try our best to accommodate you for your requested seat, but the final decision will rest with the pilot to ensure aircraft safety.

WHAT TYPE OF HELICOPTER DO YOU USE?
Our EUROCOPTER B2 features an Air Conditioned luxury leather interior and an internal & external Camera System to record each flight. Our Helicopter offerseach passenger their own panoramic window seat view. You are also equipped with noise-reducing headsets and microphones that will enable you to communicate with each other and the pilot! Excluding the Pilot, our Eurocopter B2 can carry up to five (5) passengers depending on if their combined weight (and luggage if applicable) does not exceed the aircraft’s maximum payload.

WHAT EXPERIENCE DOES YOUR PILOT HAVE AND WHERE IS HE FROM?
Our Pilot is from Australia and is DGCA (Indonesian Civil Aviation) commercially qualified and has passed rigorous DGCA certifications. He is a very experienced operator, strictly guided by Indonesian Aviation Laws. We are proud to have him as part of our team and your Sky tour pilot. Your safety is our number one priority and we implement every safety measure to ensure you of a safe and comfortable trip.

HOW LOW DO YOU FLY?
An Indonesian aviation altitude restriction of 1500 feet has been in effect since 1994 with deviations to 500 ft. Virtually all helicopter operators in Indonesia share the same deviation authority from the Indonesian Civil Aviation to fly as low as 500 feet in the tourist areas.

WHAT IS THE BEST TOUR?
Our most popular Sky tour is the Kintamani Volcano Tour and is highly recommended as a ‘must do’ while in Bali. If it’s a breathtaking coastal Sky Tour you are looking for then an Uluwatu Coastal flight is for you.

DOES BALI ADVENTURE SKYTOURS OFFER FLIGHTS THAT ARE NOT PRIMARILY FOR SCENIC VIEWING?
Yes. We are also a Charter company, and we also offer air transportation to golfers, surfers, and V.I.P.’s who may have limited time or who want to visit lesser-traveled areas. We will fly you where-ever you want to go, at whatever time you prefer (within our flight operating times), provided our equipment and personnel are available. We also provide utility services, such as external load, search and rescue, and Medivac. Film and photography at all levels with camera mounting options and harnesses available.

DO YOU MAKE A VIDEO OF OUR ACTUAL TOUR?
Every flight is captured on a high quality DVD or USB. Our helicopter is equipped with four cameras; three external and one in the cabin. The video recording begins during the boarding process. On the video, you’ll most likely first see yourself as you approach the aircraft for boarding. To orchestrate the most interesting video, the pilot chooses between the forward, rear or internal camera as the flight progresses. The cabin camera, for example, usually shows you right after lift-off as it is so much fun to capture our guests’ expressions. The recording is continuous until landing and includes digital quality music chosen to complement the changing scenery, plus all the pilot’s narration. The raw video is available for purchase right after you return from your flight, however to edit the footage and add music will take one working day.

HOW LONG ARE YOUR TOURS?
Our tours are measured in minutes not miles. They range anywhere from approximately 30 – 90 minutes.

ARE WE GUARANTEED TO SEE ALL OF THE SIGHTS MENTIONED IN YOUR TOUR DESCRIPTIONS?
The points of interest mentioned in our tour descriptions are highlights of the tour, which we always do our best to show you depending on weather. Each tour is unique in that we’ll show you the best currently available scenery while also trying to accommodate all of your special requests within the generally allotted time.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Our helicopters are temperature-controlled so dress comfortably. Shirts, pants and shoes are required. If you plan to take photographs we recommend wearing darker colors to reduce any window reflections. Hats are not allowed to be worn around the helicopters as they can fly up into the rotors and damage the aircraft. We will be happy to hold any hats for you until you return from your Sky tour. Closed in footwear is recommended but not essential. Large bags or bulky items are not allowed to be carried on board

DO YOU RECOMMEND TAKING ANTI-MOTION SICKNESS MEDICATION?
If you are particularly prone to motion sickness, taking a precautionary anti-motion sickness medication is a good idea. However, our flights are very smooth and turns are slow and gentle. This is a professional scenic tour, not a thrill ride. Most people do not experience motion sickness and do not need an anti-motion sickness medication.

CAN WE BRING A CAMERA?
You may bring a camera as some of the aerial views of Bali are stunning. A tip for taking perfect photographs is to wear darker colours to reduce window reflections.
